Recession and Engineering

I really like the writing of embedded electronics guru Jack Ganssle.  When not talking about deep technical issues, he likes to look at the world and how geopolitical changes effect the everyday electronics engineer.  Recent trips to both India and China have enabled him to really talk to engineers from around the world.  And what does he see?  He sees hungry engineers, eager to learn, and then earn.  And with the domestic consumer markets in China and India still on the rise despite the recession, there will be domestic electronics companies springing up to satisfy the local market.  All this could completely change the future for the western engineer.  Jack Ganssle explores this here.
